Product Description
REFRACTORY CONCRETE – ORBET-7
Product description and application: ORBET – 7 refractory concrete is a mixture of high-alumina refractory raw materials and refractory cement and is very suitable for the production and maintenance of refractory linings of thermal aggregates such as industrial furnaces or household stoves, because it achieves high strength in a short time.
Composition: Refractory cement, fireclay and additives.
Preparation: Before wetting, dry mixing is recommended for homogenization. Intensive mixing and wetting is carried out for 3-4 minutes in a clean mixer or on a suitable concrete surface, without residues from previous mixing. The required addition of water depends on the installation method and ranges from 7-10%. For the production of more complex forms, the humidity of the concrete is increased by 2-4%. Adding water in larger quantities is not recommended due to the creation of possible cracks during drying.
Properties: High refractoriness, high strength and fast setting.
Installation: The installation of thermal concrete is done by tamping or vibrating. Thermoconcrete is carefully rammed into
placed template, made of smooth boards and coated with a protective coating. Thermoconcrete bonding process
follows the release of heat, so it is necessary to cool the refractory wall with water. If the fireproof wall abuts on
material that easily absorbs water, it must be insulated with plastic film. Under normal conditions, concrete binds to
15-20 minutes, and hardens in 24-48 hours. Install concrete at a temperature of 5-30°C. After the prescribed time
bonding, dry the lining for 2-3 days at 150°C. The rate of temperature rise from 150-650°C is 15°C/h, and from
650°C up to an operating temperature of 50°C/h.
