Product Description
LIGHTWEIGHT insulating refractory concretes
are mixtures of refractory and fireproof raw materials and refractory cement, and are used to make insulating and working linings for industrial furnaces.
They are delivered dry and stored in closed areas protected from moisture.
It is recommended to mix dry before use for homogenization.
The preparation of lightweight concrete for installation is done by mixing in clean mixers or manually, with the addition of an appropriate amount of water,
depending on the type of aggregate and grain size.
The installation is done by casting into previously placed templates made of smooth boards, coated with a protective coating.
Lightweight refractory concretes set after 15-20 minutes, and harden in 24-48 hours.
The hardening time is shorter in warm conditions, and longer in cold conditions.
It is recommended to install lightweight concrete at a temperature of 5-30 C.
The hydraulic hardening process is accompanied by the release of heat, so it is necessary to moisten the concrete with water during the first 24 hours. The approximate drying and initial heating regime is as follows:
- During the hardening period, which lasts 24 hours, the concrete should be maintained by occasional moistening if possible.
- Air drying lasts 24 hours, then it is heated to 150 ( 0C ) and held for 12 hours. The temperature increase rate from 150 ( 0C ) to 650 ( 0C ) is 15 ( 0C/h ). At 650 ( 0C ), keep the temperature constant for 10 hours, and then heat to the operating temperature at a rate of 50 ( 0C /h ).
- The permissible temperature during installation is +5 to +30 ( 0C ), and if it is lower, add antifreeze additives.
